This chicken recipe is hands down the best non-fried chicken recipe I have ever tried. I first tried it when it was in the NYtimes ("Do They Give Out Pulitzers for Chicken Recipes"), and I was blown away (so to answer the article's title, they should and this deserves it). It was the recipe that turned me on to Alison, and the first one I recommend to anyone new to her.
This was the first dinner I made when we started lockdown last year and have made it more times than I can count since. Olives are my love language :) Thank you!
Love this recipe! Have made it twice already and told numerous friends and family members to make it. It’s easy but doesn’t taste like it’s easy. I plan on making it for a dinner party and fooling everyone into thinking I cooked ALL day.
I love this chicken recipe so hard and have made it 4 times in a month, but it has definitely filled my oven with smoke and grease in a way that not only fills the rest of my apartment, but later causes grease fires. How are others preventing that??

"Ol-ive" You, Alison and your chicken. All of 'em....
Where is the big round plate from?? It always fits your dishes perfectly. I need it! Thanks :)
This was amazing!! Best chicken I ever had. Only problem was that I put too much oil and the smoke overtook the house. Lesson learned.
