I'm spending NYE alone again (for the 2nd year in a row). It's fine it's FINE it's fine and I'm going to make this and gorge myself on shrimp! I can't wait honestly. Happy New year everyone!! <3
What funny timing! I just made a shrimp cocktail made with a court bouillon for christmas eve. For the cocktail sauce, and knowing that alison loves shrimp cocktail, I totally used your recipe from 2018. Still stands up. It was a crowd pleaser.
I’m old. There was a restaurant in Philadelphia in the 80s called the Rusty Scupper…they had a California Shrimp Salad sandwich on the menu that I loved. It was shrimp and avocado slices served open-faced on rye bread with a cocktail sauce mayonnaise. I made it tonight using this recipe and it was KILLER. I love Alison Roman recipes, they’re always perfection. Happy New Year Alison! Thank you! ❤️
It is so ridiculously good. It makes way more sauce than needed for 2 lbs of shrimp, which were devoured quickly. Other uses for the leftover sauce or is it best to toss? Happy New Year and thanks for this!
Hmm, great idea - I think I'll close out the year with shrimp cocktail!!
I am voting for this post for mayor
