Hi! I am interested in the cookbook publishing Q&A class, but when I click on it, it says “you do not have permission for this event.” Any tips would be welcomed! Thanks!!
I finally got the 3 things I needed to make your potato soup. I hope I make it while the dill is still bright. I-like you, can’t find enthusiasm. A considerable amount of frozen items are being consumed instead of me trying to engage. I have nothing but compassion for both of us.
If we were the judging types we would not be here. I was out of ideas tonight, but I had ground pork and a chicken breast. Sautéed onions, peppers, garlic, and ginger. Added pork and sliced breast. Opened fridge and added anything remotely Asian. Soy sauce, tamarind sauce, curry paste, etc., shredded cabbage, scallions, Angel hair pasta, vegetable broth. Delicious. ❤️. You are worth the wait, Alison.
Thank you for (publicly) being so many shades of alright and not alright. Gives the rest of us permission and hope. The fantastic recipes are so appreciated too.
A sub task? I’m sorry I’m 48 don’t hate me for having no idea. This is where I get preachy and philosophical and my friends refill their drinks. But I know you get it and are thoughtful. Life is a wonderful gift and adventure. As long as you don’t take that that from someone else, do what you want. Cook or don’t. Help humanity or don’t. All you have to be is yourself. And I love you even more about dill. Maybe you can convince my hubby. It gets better.
Thanks so much for writing this. We're right there with you, feeling the same way. Also I've eaten more dill in the past week than ever in my life and I'm loving it.
Popcorn. In a hotel room. Avoiding the mask- less crowd downstairs. Thank you for making us all feel ok about not hitting the food group and flavor button on a daily pandemic basis...
Not that I subscribe to dry January but it was over on Jan 6. I made pasta carbonara last night, have never felt more fatigued and it’s only the middle of January. Right there with you on starting the year with a swell of optimism but now feeling so disheartened and repulsed by the events last week, I’m completely exhausted only 14 days into the new year. Thank you for writing and not making the rest of us feel like we should be productive right now. I just bought another plant to add to my posse of 14.
Be kind to yourself. Thanks for sharing where you are. I think a lot of us are right there, too. I'm regularly binging on Haribo twin snakes these days. No shame! We do the best we can to muddle through. Glad you're using your voice to help create change. F*ck the haters.
i can relate to this so much lol
Fear not, the past two weeks have been tough. Sometimes its better to back into something, like eat dessert first.

Wow - Elisa. I love how you worded this. What a lovely, loving, powerful thing to say, & in so few words. Thank you for this. x.
We love you and we love cinnamon rolls.. and that's more than plenty...
you are all of us. we just can't.
We still love you and appreciate your honesty. Can't tell you how many times I've lugged my groceries to my apt, only to be too exhausted to cook!
Can't wait to bake with you in two weeks though! Yay! :)
