This was perfectly bittersweet. I am always delighted and so very grateful to receive A Newsletter. Your videos are also hilarious and entertaining while being quite practical. Happy 11th NY Anniversary; you should know that the traditional gift is steel, symbolizing strength.
I also had a small jam business back in the 90’s. I could have made a fortune. But didn’t because I ended up with canning elbow (similar to tennis elbow). Anyway. Peach orange marmalade is our favorite. Thanks for always entertaining and teaching.
If you are in your flop era, i cannot even begin to fathom what I'm in. Your newsletter is a ray of sunshine, and while I'm not going to even try to make this recipe (I'm a soft Californian), I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the flavor you bring into our lives with your recipes and writing (and videos! and sense of humor! etc!).
You caught me! I was a free-subscriber to A Newsletter and now am a yearly paying subscriber. I am STOKED for this marmalade recipe! I've dabbled with canning, with not great results.... But that won't stop me!
I love 'a newsletter' and Home Movies but it took the marmalade to convert me to a paid subscriber! Almost happened with the iceberg lettuce salad, and then with the meatballs, and THEN the brothy beans. So...thank you for these and for helping me survive lockdown!
Look, my parents sent me 3 dozen pieces of citrus this winter. I've still got 18 honey bells. I became a paid subscriber so it doesn't got to waste. Please tell me how to incorporate bourbon to it too!
any booze can be added when you add the lemon juice (towards the end), just add an additional minute or two to the boil! for a batch this size, i recommend 1–2 tablespoons.
Hi, so excited to be a subscriber. The marmalade recipe did it for me too. But, I am disappointed that Alison has not provided all the modification recipes that she shows in the pictures! Others have asked and I do not see any response. Please provide the recipes as requested.
SO SO pumped!! Will you have info on the variations as well? Those all sound sooo yummy 🤗

As someone who has recently cooked and eaten "a little eggplant parm," in a Flop Era you are not.
Can’t wait either. ❤️

Oh, by the way, my jam business was called Jambrosia. You get to use that for free. Lol.

Haha I can't believe it was the marmalade that got you. But glad to have you!
The forgetting everything messy and difficult about it and doing it again is a lot like childbirth (just sayin'). Marmalade, baby.
I only did childbirth once but manage to do marmalade most years!
please tell me you are going to share your recipes for grapefruit/hibiscus and blood orange/campari! they are four of my favorite ingredients.
