Imo, it should be pretty soft. Some of it will be liquidy in the wrapper and if you were to squeeze it, it would mush. But i think the main other consideration is that it should truly not be cold — obvs the outside will soften before the inside, if it’s coming right out of the freezer. It takes a few hours on the counter, from frozen in my experience.
