Donating to National Abortion Network is important, and I'm happy to do so. Please clarify what "proceeds" go to them vs my going to their web site and donating $50 directly. This is a good cause, and I appreciate your response.
Hi Carole! For the Zoom, all $50 goes directly to them. Eventbrite builds in their fees to the buyer and I cover my own costs for ingredients.
For the dinner, I am using the ticket sales to pay cooks, servers and dishwashers for their time as well as purchase any ingredients that haven't been generously donated. What's left over is considered "the proceeds" and will all be donated directly.
I am a devoted subscriber and am SO disappointed that your online event, which I just saw posted, is already sold out!!! (I wish I could have afforded the in person!) Can you do a repeat “performance”...I know it’s a lot to ask but it is such an important cause, this is such a good idea--I now cook a lot from your cookbooks and videos, and am, at age 89, thanks to you, a new and passionate cook. Please consider, thank you for your 2 events!
I fear I might be too late to the party on this one, but any chance additional places have been added for the Zoom event? I had a blast on the winter Zoom cooking class and would love to join this season’s, especially for the good cause. If no more spots are available, I’ll just be more proactive for the next one :) thank you, Alison!!
