Alison, looking forward to the recipe! I'm a.paid subscriber, happily. But the footer in this email tells me I'm on the free plan (I checked, nope, I'm not) Speaking of gentle, here's a very gentle tip from a fellow Substacker: Check your Substack settings for footers. Imagine this said gently in a British accent if it helps! Yes, I have one. 😀

For what it's worth as a data point, the footer in my email doesn't even mention my subscriber status. I use Gmail, if that helps pinpoint anything.

There was a subscribe link in the body of the email itself, but I just assumed that was because it was going to both free and paid subscribers?

Naturally, I assumed you had CANCELLED me (never occurred to me that the dread Technical Difficulties were asserting themselves, generally). But it's "tomorrow morning" and the gentle-lentil-tadka-dahl recipe still hasn't flown in. Who do I email if silence persists?
