I absolutely loved reading this. Things have drastically changed and improved since I was pregnant more than 40 years ago. A close friend who was quite an able seamstress made three or four jumpers that we traded when each of us were pregnant. Looking back they were beyond hideous even though we didn’t realize it at the time. The fact was that you were supposed to hide your burgeoning belly and try to disguise your changing body. Ridiculous in hindsight. I think women look fantastic now baring all. I remember when Demi Moore was on the cover of Vanity Fair appearing naked except that fabulous diamond ring. I remember wondering how people could try and shame her for posing for the magazine. So silly. Women now just look beautiful including you Alison. Love that black dress, leggings with big shirts for comfort not to hide anything. If only we’d had more confidence and felt more confident at such an important chapter in our lives. Congratulations to you Alison for being so present for all your fans. Being pregnant definitely has its challenges but there’s more to come I’m afraid when the wee one appears! I know you’re up to the task though!! Congratulations and that baby will surely be well fed!
