This feels like a really silly question but I accidentally bought corned beef brisket instead of regular brisket. Can I still do a meaty braisey thing with it like this?

Update: I did it anyways (braising a corned beef in stock and vinegar and shallots has got to be better than water, right?) and turns out itтАЩs definitely not the same as a braised Passover brisket, but it is a way better version of corned beef. No harm, no foul.
