Made this with 2 c heavy cream and that was plenty!! I used littleneck clams and leeks and closer to 4 oz bacon, and one dried bay leaf. I also used frozen sweet yellow corn and added it at step 4, cold/not fully thawed. It was great! But I do think if it are using frozen corn, leeks are a must. FYI I like keeping the clams in one layer …

FYI I like keeping the clams in one layer on a metal pie plate in the fridge, fully covered with a damp cold tea towel. Worked better than storing in water or ice overnight.
