I am a convert now too to the Better Than Boullion stuff! But I’m still unsure…do I just throw the 6 tsps and 6 cups of cold water right into the soup pot? Or should I separately in another pot/bowl dissolve them together in hot water, before adding to soup?
I am also here for all of the soup recipes! I’ve already made last week’s mushroom & tofu soup twice and it is the perfect thing for wintry nights. I realize this just may not be possible for this recipe, but any ideas for vegetarian-izing this soup? Thank you!!
Honestly, a lot of flavor here comes from the pork. You could try finely chopped mushrooms as a mimic to the texture/body/meatiness, but you'll need a LOT of mushrooms haha. Otherwise, I'd suggest a Beyond/Impossible sausage.
For those of us who are not pork eaters… chicken sausage and extra oil at the start? (And where in Boerum Hill/Park Slope can I find the best chicken sausage, RIP to Fleischers on 5th Ave???)
This is so so delicious. I made it post-booster, which really kicked my ass, and it instantly made me feel better. HIGHLY recommend the squeeze of lemon. Added a lovely and surprising dimension to an already superb soup.
Happy to report that this is tasty even without pasta. I included about .5 cup of the Golden Chicken Stock from Dining In. The lemon squeeze is key. I honestly didn’t use any salt or pepper and I didn’t miss it
Can’t wait to make this. Question about substituting with water/better than bouillon - 6 cups of water and how much bouillon? Thank you x
I used about 2 tablespoons- but I always recommend starting with what the jar says and adjusting from here.
Thanks so much!

I am living for these soup recipes. Loved the mushroom soup.
And I am HERE for your rabe energy as well: "If you don’t like broccoli rabe bc it’s too bitter for you, then I am sorry..."
Yes MA'AM! Sorry, not sorry.
Thank you -- I appreciate your support of the ACLU!!

haha okay good to know! thank you 💕
The Upton brand also has a vegan chorizo that is quite good!
valuable info, thank you!
NOTHING is too bitter for me. I am here for the bitterness. Bring it!
I am a broccoli rabe and hot Italian sausage freak. I would love this soup. Looks so perfect.

I would say add another tablespoon or so and yeah-- chicken or turkey would work well here. Paisano's has good chicken sausage!
When do we add the pasta? Just right as we’re serving?
When exactly does the pasta go in? I assume right at the end but unless I'm missing something, it's not in the recipe?
Soup and reproductive justice!
Hear, hear !
Thanks for the soup recipe AND your advocacy!

radiatori is THE god-tier pasta shape, no question
This is an awesome recipe. Garlic, rapini and pork were made for each other.

I used pacific brand low-salt chicken broth for the remainder
